Republicans have been guilty of enormous tax wasting earmarks in bills passed by government and signed by George W. Bush. Politicians love to spend and waste money. It was wrong when Bush administration did it and it is still wrong with Obama’s administration doing it.
This Obamacare – health care bill, written by the Reid-Pelosi crew, has very little support among tax payers. All Republicans and a few Democrats have stated their intentions of voting NO on this health care bill because it is a bloated, colossal waste of money designed to increase the size of government on a massive scale.
Democrats have complete control of government and not one Republican vote is needed to pass the health care bill. Unhappy with the situation, Harry Reid held closed-door meetings with these democrat-holdouts and WAH-LAH these Democrats with excellent earmarks are now voting YES. It is what is known as Cash for Cloture.
It seems that Democrat Senators received much preferential treatment for their states in this bill. So my question is, if the Obama administration wants a federally controlled health care system should the health care bill have equal treatment for all states without this obvious earmark favoritism.
The following is just a few states that received awesome earmark deals:
Louisiana will get a cool $300 million.
Nebraska will get another $100 million.
Connecticut will get $100 million.
California will get $300 million
Vermont and Massachusetts will get nearly a $billion.
Montana, Hawaii, Michigan, Iowa, N. Dakota will get some too.
And so on ….
I thought Obama wanted Hope and Change? He didn’t want anymore back room deals. He said no more pork and said his administration would go through bills line by line removing pork and earmarks. Yet all the bills he signed so far were stuffed with tens of thousands of earmarks putting this country on the hook for $ trillions.
